The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counseling for MDS Admission 2024 in India is likely to begin in the first week of July 2024. All MDS students who wish to take admission will have to register online on MCC’s portal. MCC will counsel for 50% of all Indian seats and the remaining 50% of seats counseled by the state. Only those students who have qualified for the NEET will be able to register for NEET MDS counseling in 2024.

NEET MDS 2024 Admission Selection Procedure

If a candidate belongs to the general category, 50% is the minimum qualifying score, whereas for OBC, SC, or ST, candidates have to score 40% marks in order to meet the selection criteria as per the NBE. The NEET MDS counselling procedure is elaborated below, which shall be applicable for the allotment of 50% AIQ MDS seats:

    All the Qualified Candidates are Required to Carry the following Original Documents.
    (1)) NEET MDS 2024 scorecard
    (2) NEET MDS 2024 Admit Card
    (3) Mark sheet of BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd year, Final Year examinations
    (4) Qualifying examination certificate, that is, BDS Degree Certificate
    (5) Permanent or provisional certificate provided by DCI/Dental Council
    (6) Internship completion certificate issued from the Head of the Institution
    (7)10th standard certificate as proof of birth
    (8) Valid Government Identity proofs (Driving License/ PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport or Aadhar Card)
    (9) Physically handicap medical certificate, if required.
    (10) SC/ST/OBC certificate, if required

    Q. What will be the process for NEET MDS 2024 Admission?
    A. NEET MDS Admission 2024 will be conducted online. Candidates who want to participate in the counselling of NEET MDS 2024 will have to register on the official website of MCC (For All India Quota) and respective state DGME website (For State Counseling) to attend it.

    Q. I forgot to lock my choices for the counselling. Will I get a seat?
    A. If you have filled in the choices and saved them, they will be considered during the seat allotment process. However, if you haven’t filled in the choices, you will have to wait until the next round of NEET MDS counseling in 2024. seat lock process depends on counseling authority process.

    Q. How many choices can I make during the counselling?
    A. There is no limit on the number of choices that a candidate can make during the counselling of NEET MDS 2024. These choices, however, should be in the order of preference as desired by the candidate.

    Q. What documents are required at the time of online registration and choice filling?
    A. Candidates filling the registration form of NEET MDS 2024 counselling are required to keep their application form and admit card handy. These details will have to be filled out on the registration form as well.

    A. At the time of registration for NEET MDS counselling, a candidate needs to pay two kinds of fee

    Non-refundable: A candidate who wishes to participate in the counselling of NEET MDS 2024 has to pay a non-refundable registration fee for the submission of choices

    Refundable: During the registration process, a candidate is also required to pay a part of the tuition fee. This will be refunded to the candidate if he or she is not allocated a seat in the counselling process.

    Q: Who conducts counselling for NEET MDS 2024?
    A. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET MDS counseling in 2024 for admission to All India Quota (AIQ), deemed central, and ESIC institutes.

    Q: When will registration commence for the first round of counseling?
    A. MCC has yet to announce the schedule of the counselling for NEET MDS. Most likely, it will begin in the last week of August.

    Aspirants are required to obtain minimum qualifying percentile marks in the NEET MDS entrance examination in order to qualify for further admissions.

    Candidates who belong to SC, ST, or OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least the 40th percentile to be considered for the AIQ and state counselling processes.

    Aspirants who belong to UR category are required to score equivalent to at least 50th percentile.
